Spring Thaw and a Digging Machine

These are two that I remember piqued the individual 's interests...

March Thaw
8x10 oil on board / plein air
Warm and sunny day as winter draws to close on the Zumbro River in south west Rochester. The grasses were almost glowing in the late afternoon sun.

Digger
8x6 Oil on Board / Plein Air
Heavy equipment sitting idle on Thanksgiving morning. The sun made such rich shadows and gleamed off the hydraulic mechanisms. It was solid and immovable.

First Project

We created this blog because some of us wanted to do something nice for a special someone. *wink wink* So, Wet Canvas posters to Artwork from Life or Plein Air forums (or any other Wet Cavnas forums who know *wink wink*) post away.

Remember, for the moment, this is a secret blog. Don't tell you-know-who.

Post what? Well the suggestion on the table is we each put a painting (or more) into the painting pool. When we're ready, the individual may visit and select a painting. That selection will be private... meaning we won't announce which painting was actually selected because that might lead to hurt feelings, and it might make it more difficult to select.

You have the pleasure of saying thankyou, and exposing your painting to the blog community. When we're done we'll add the blog site to technorati, and you can post other masterworks here as an online artist co-op gallery.

One other note. This is an experiment. This blog may be deleted in the future if it falls into disrepair, no longer serves a useful purpose, has disagreements among the posters, or becomes a problem. :-)

Also, each of you make make others editors. I'm trusting you all to self post, self correct and self police.
